AN APPEAL TO OUR ALUMINI
Dear Alumnus,
Warm Greetings.
You will be
happy to learn that your alma mater is celebrating the
Golden Jubilee in a grand manner.
During the
last 50 years, our College, one of the top-ranking institutions
in the country has provided higher educational opportunities to the
rural poor in this part of the country.
The College
has grown from
strength to strength and is now offering 22 UG, 18 PG,
3 Diploma and 9 Research Programmes with an enrolment of
3782 Students, 221 teaching and 119 non-teaching supporting staff.
Introduction of Evening College, Autonomous status, accreditation
by NAAC, recognition by UGC as one of the reputed Colleges, AVC
Polytechnic College and AVC College of Engineering are some
of the milestones in our onward march towards academic excellence.
Every
effort is being made to celebrate the final function of the Golden
Jubilee celebrations on a grand scale. The final
function will include an Alumini meet. In the
previous Alumini meet held at Chennai, it was decided to
construct and
contribute a 1000 seater multipurpose auditorium
on behalf of the alumini association. This involves a very huge
expenditure and the College will appreciate
any help you may wish to
extend.
It is the right moment for our meritorious Alumni like you to
think proudly of the institution and come forward to contribute
their level best for further improvement of the institution. I
will be extremely happy if you can involve yourself along with
your friends in a big way and contribute as much as possible.
As a first step you may register yourself as a member of
"A.V.C. College Alumni Association".
This will enable us to extend you the invitation for the
final function.
