| MATHEMATICS
Department Profile
The Department has the pride
of getting started in the year 1955 when the college was opened with
the sole aim of providing facility for higher education to the wards
of agriculturists in and around Mayiladuthurai. The Under graduate
degree course was started in 1957 and the Post graduate degree
course in 1969. The evening section of Under graduate and post
graduate courses were started in the year 2003-2004 and 2004-2005
respectively. The Master of Philosophy in Mathematics as a Part-time
course was started in the year 1985.
SALIENT FEATURES
The Department
was honoured with THREE awards for best performances in the the UG,
PG classes during the year 2004-05 in the College Day 2005.
Special coaching classes are conducted for the benefit of weak students. Remedial classess also
conducted for the failled student. Special coaching classies are arranged for the competitive
examinations.
The Department was honoured with three award for the best performance in the UG,PG classes
during the year 2004-2005 and 2005-2006 in the college day.
