Dr.M.Varadharajan, Reader in Zoology
Dr.M.Varadharajan was the sixth
Principal
of this reputed institution. He assumed the office of the Principal from 01.09.2005
to30.08.2008 and he is an alumnus of this college. During his tenure as lecturer he actively involved himself in various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities. He served as controller of examinations and played a key role in updating the examination systems. He was the coordinator for Golden Jubilee Celebrations. He always encourages the students to contribute for the upliftment of the downtrodden society the purpose for which the institution was started by the philanthropic founders.
Qualification : M.Sc., M.Phil., Ph.D.,

in the Department of Zoology.

Creating awareness on bee keeping as a self employment
among the students and agriculturists by giving lectures and demonstrations
through National Service Schemes, Making Apiculture suitable to women
folk through Self Help Group Activities of the Government,
Conducting regular awareness campaigns through Campus Diversity Initiative
of the institution, Making bee keeping an alternative income
generating activity for the fishermen in the mangrove forests using
the Forest Department Schemes are the regular extension activities
involved.
Actively involved in community service by being the
Member of Lions Club of Mayuram from 2001.
